The Embrace Life Council, Isaksimagit Inuusirmi Katujjiqatigiit, is a non-profit organization, our mission to support and encourage Nunavummiut to value life. Embrace Life Day is coming up on September 10th (World Suicide Prevention Day).
Embrace Life Council will be holding an annual walk in Iqaluit, NU on Monday, September 10th, 2018, to honor those who have died by suicide, strengthen our connection with each other as a community, and reaffirm our commitment to life.
The Embrace Life Day Walk will be starting at 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the Inuksuk High School parking lot (Right Side), we will be walking the Ring Road, and returning to the IHS parking lot. With this walk, we want to invite you and your friends and family to join us on the walk for life. See below for activities precede to Embrace Life Day.
- BEATRICE DEER CONCERT, opening with Looee Arreak:
Saturday, September 8th 7:30 PM at Inuksuk High School. Tickets are $26 in advance ($15 for youth ages 13 to 18), available at Arctic Ventures Marketplace or online at www.alianait.ca, tickets are $30 at the door. All Alianait shows are FREE for elders and kids 12 & under accompanied by an adult.
- FREE SWIM ALL DAY (For swim times – Refer to Summer Pool Schedule): Sunday, September 9th 10:15 AM – 6:30 PM at Aquatic Centre
- FREE TURF TIME YOUTH AGES 13-18:
Sunday, September 9th 1:30PM – 3:30PM, at AWG Arena
