For families and friends grieving the loss of a loved one to suicide, join us on Tuesday, November 21 at 7 p.m., Room 124, Nunavut Arctic College. Everyone is welcome and refreshments will be served. Simultaneous interpretation and taxi vouchers are available.

Acudetox Training / Auricular Acu-Technician Training Feb. 8 – 10, 2023

Isaksimagit Inuusirmi Katujjiqatagiit Embrace Life Council is thrilled to announce an upcoming Auricular Acu-Technician Training through the People’s Organization of Community Acupuncture from February 8th-10th in Iqaluit, Nunavut. This training is free and available to anyone in Iqaluit who is a frontline worker in the field of mental health.

2022 Peer Leadership Program Recap

Ten youth from across the Kivalliq region and two youth from Iqaluit spent a week in Iqaluit to attend workshops during IIKELC’s Peer Leadership Program. The youth spent time with special guest speaker Don Burnstick, who facilitated talking circles on a range of topics including Indigenous community healing, sober living and healthy lifestyles, and cyber.
