On behalf of the Nunavut Suicide Prevention Partners, we are pleased to invite you to the launch of Nunavut’s third suicide prevention action plan, co-hosted with Facebook, followed by a reception on Monday, June 26 in the Koojessee Room, Frobisher Inn, Iqaluit, Nunavut. A schedule of events is included.

Inuusivut Anniqnaqtuq presents actions that Nunavummiut have agreed to and commit to over the next five years, 2017–2022. The actions within this document are a reflection of the united voices of Nunavummiut. Please join us in celebrating life, resilience and determination.

Applications for this year’s Youth Peer Leadership program are now open for youth ages 19-25! 6 communities from the Qikiqtani region have been selected: Successful applicants will travel to Iqaluit from November 29- December 1, 2023. Acudetox Training / Auricular Acu-Technician Training Feb. 8 – 10, 2023

Isaksimagit Inuusirmi Katujjiqatagiit Embrace Life Council is thrilled to announce an upcoming Auricular Acu-Technician Training through the People’s Organization of Community Acupuncture from February 8th-10th in Iqaluit, Nunavut. This training is free and available to anyone in Iqaluit who is a frontline worker in the field of mental health.

2022 Peer Leadership Program Recap

Ten youth from across the Kivalliq region and two youth from Iqaluit spent a week in Iqaluit to attend workshops during IIKELC’s Peer Leadership Program. The youth spent time with special guest speaker Don Burnstick, who facilitated talking circles on a range of topics including Indigenous community healing, sober living and healthy lifestyles, and cyber.
