Filmed testimonials from child sexual abuse survivors, caregivers, law enforcement, and many others provide the core of the workshop, supplemeNted by the workbook. This workshop also provides information and strategies around disclosure and support of children after abuse has been disclosed. We recommend supplementing this training Trauma Informed Practice workshop and\/or Inuit Cultural Competency training available through various agencies in Nunavut, including IIKELC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-big-font-size\"><strong>What is unique about this workshop?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-secondary-dark-color has-text-color has-regular-font-size\">Over the duration of this course, participants will learn what child sexual abuse is and understand the risk factors that might lead to child sexual abuse. Participants will also learn about the impact abuse has on children, strategies to prevent child sexual abuse, as well as how to create a safe environment that centers child protection. Lastly, participants will also learn what resources are available to them, as well as how to respond to a disclosure and personal suspicions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-big-font-size\"><strong>\u146d\u1483\u146f\u14d0\u14c4\u1466 \u1450\u154c\u1593\u14bb\u14aa\u1466 \u1403\u14d5\u14d0\u14c2\u140a\u1548\u144e\u1505\u14f4\u1585?<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-secondary-dark-color has-text-color has-regular-font-size\">This workshop is for all community members!&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-big-font-size\"><strong>Training Process and Resources:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-secondary-dark-color has-text-color has-regular-font-size\">This interactive training involves direct instruction combined with small and large group discussion.
