The Embrace Life Polar Dip is an event dedicated to healing, resilience, and suicide prevention in Nunavut.<\/strong>

This pilot event aims to bring community members together to inspire hope through the courageous act of facing discomfort and showing support.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The Polar Dip carries both symbolic and practical meaning. Entering cold water together represents facing discomfort side by side \u2014 not alone \u2014 strengthening the livelihood and support from our communities.

Although going into cold water may simply feel recreational, it can become a powerful moment to remember. The experience may spark a thrill and rush of emotions. It could provide a sense of connection and healing. Joining the event offers an opportunity to step outside your comfort zone in a safe and supportive environment.

The Polar Dip means to foster trust through action, and build meaningful relationships between service providers and the communities they serve. It is our hope that an initiative such as this, can show the importance our caregivers, leaders, neighbours, and territorial organizations that have a shared responsibility to suicide prevention in Nunavut. We all can make a lasting impact. <\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
