See our strategic plans where our short and long-term goals and strategies are outlined.
The Embrace Life Logo
In 2004, a competition was held to establish an official name and logo that reflects the organization’s work.
The name of the council was submitted and won by Gary Ipiak of Chesterfield Inlet. As for the logo, there were two submissions that fit very well and both designs were combined to this final logo. The two winning artists were Meeka Kakudluk of Iqaluit and Phyllis Kanayuk of Pond Inlet.
The symbols in the logo are meant to convey the concept of reaching out and finding your circle of support. The message behind the concept is:
You are not alone; the circle of support is there for you. Reach out and find your circle of support: friends, family, co-workers and the spirituality that comes from within. Let the sun and the beat of the drum guide you to embrace life.
