For families across the territory that have experienced losing a loved one by suicide.
Supportive tools and resources can sometimes be limited in communities. Assembling these Grief Care Packages are one of the ways IIKELC would like to help families when they have lost a loved one. It is our hope that these packages can offer a sense of comfort to those that are grieving and beginning their journey of healing.

The Grief Care Packages are to encourage self-care, relaxation, and healing at ones own pace.
Whether it is using a journal for self-expression, practicing a self-care activity, creating a calming environment, connecting with the present moment, or reading a mindfulness book to quietly self-reflect as you navigate this new way of life, the package may have what you need.

Some items you can find are:
- Helpful Information After a Suicide Handbook
- Navigating Grief Journal
- Navigating Grief for Teens Journal
- Understanding Grief & Loss Booklet
- A Guide for Caregivers – Grief and Loss ᐅᖃᓕᒫᒐᕋᓛᑦ

- Ikpigusungniq Graphic Novel
- Colouring Book and/or Activity Book
- A Self-Care Activity
- A Small Cultural Activity

- A reusable beautiful tote bag which contains the items
A loved one’s passing marks the beginning of a new journey for those they left behind. It can be a little easier to start this new path when you take the time to heal. Taking time to relax can help, and even have a positive impact on your health and well-being during a difficult time.

The Grief Care Package is not the only support.
There is someone that cares and is there to help when the time is right for you.

We want families to know that they are not alone.
The care packages are just a small way for us to share our compassion.
Our team is here when and if you are ready to connect for some more support.
