How to Use These Cards

There are different ways to use these cards such as shuffling the deck and pulling cards out – intuitively, random card pulls or what you feel is right. Read the card and sit with the feeling it gives you and let yourself analyze what the specific quote means to you.

The booklet is there to affirm yourself with what the card reads as affirmations or body exercises.

Acknowledgements

We would like to acknowledge the support from Vanessa Voigt (Māori, from Pawarenga, Aotearoa/New Zealand) for the development of these affirmation cards. This project was inspired from Vanessa’s Mana Wahine Cards. She created the cards to help her with her own healing journey and reclaim her power from sexual trauma. We thank Vanessa for encouraging women to have open conversations about this topic and to gain the strength to recover from these trauma experiences.

The artwork on the cards is created by Aghalingiak Ohokannoak, Inuinnait from Ikaluktutiak Nunavut. Their artwork can be found on Instagram at @aghaliaq.
